She began her acting career after being discovered by director Sherry Hormann while studying directing at the School of Television and Film in Munich. Her first leading role was in the 1998 TV film Die Cellistin – Liebe und Verhängnis. She gained further recognition for her role as Sophie in the 1998 film Frau Rettich, die Czerni und ich .
