Jeremy Lee Renner (born January 7, 1971) is an American actor best known for his intense and often gritty portrayals, as well as his prominent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born in Modesto, California, Renner initially explored various fields of study, including computer science and criminology, before discovering his passion for acting at Modesto Junior College. He began his career in independent films and television guest spots, steadily building his resume.Renner gained critical attention for his lead role as the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the 2002 biopic "Dahmer," earning him an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
