Before dedicating herself to acting, Prescott pursued a diverse academic and professional path, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management and working in the trucking industry, and later obtaining an MA and PhD in literature.She is widely recognized for her role as Jacqui in the first season of AMC's hit zombie series The Walking Dead (2010-2012), a role she reprised in later seasons. Her television career also includes significant roles such as Madame Xanadu in the DC Universe series Swamp Thing (2019) and Aktropaw, one of the Great Mothers, in Star Wars: Ahsoka (2023).
