Jessica Schwarz is a German actress and former television presenter, born on May 5, 1977, in Erbach im Odenwald, Hesse, Germany. She began her career in 1993 after winning a contest with the German teen magazine Bravo, which led to a brief period of modeling and a debut as a presenter (VJ) on the music channel VIVA, hosting shows like Film ab and Interaktiv. She transitioned to acting in the late 1990s, with her breakthrough film role coming in the 2001 German drama Nichts bereuen (No Regrets). Internationally, she is best known for portraying Natalie in the 2006 adaptation of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. She has had several other notable roles, including Tony Buddenbrook in the 2008 film Buddenbrooks, Romy Schneider in the 2009 biographical television film Romy, and Professor Tanja Lorenz in the series Biohackers (2020–2021). Throughout her career, she has appeared in over 50 films and several television series, earning accolades such as the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress in 2004 for Kammerflimmern and a Bambi Award. Most recently, she starred in the 2025 comedy Western sequel, Das Kanu des Manitu (Manitou's Canoe), where she plays the role of Der Boss (The Boss), the gang leader.
