Jessica Sherman is an award-winning American casting director and the founder and president of the non-profit organization A Cause for Entertainment. A native of Los Angeles, she developed her passion for casting while studying at UC Riverside. Her early career began under the mentorship of April Webster, where she worked on major Bad Robot/J.J. Abrams projects, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Super 8. She later collaborated with Carlton Cuse, casting the series Bates Motel for A&E and The Strain for FX. Beyond her professional work, the non-profit A Cause for Entertainment, which she founded, supports women and families affected by breast cancer, a cause she was inspired to start after her grandmother was diagnosed. She is also the co-host of the podcast Tipsy Casting.
