Jessimae Peluso is an American stand-up comedian, television personality, and podcast host, born on September 16, 1982, in Syracuse, New York. Of Italian descent, she graduated from Henninger High School in 2000. Her early performance experience included dancing at age 16 for The United Booty Foundation, a theatrical production in Syracuse. Peluso began her comedy career in Boston, performing improv with The Tribe and stand-up at the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before moving to New York City in 2005.She gained significant recognition in 2013 as a cast member in the first two seasons of MTV's Girl Code. Though she departed before the third season, Peluso continued to expand her presence through social media, famously fostering a running gag about a "crush" on John Stamos, which Stamos himself acknowledged and praised. She has appeared on various television shows, including Chelsea Lately, Comedy Central's @midnight, World's Funniest Fails, VH1's Hip Hop Squares, and Netflix's Surviving Paradise, which she also hosted in 2023. In 2021, she hosted the Netflix original series Tattoo Redo. Her film credits include The Opening Act (2020) and F** Marry Kill* (2024).Beyond television, Peluso is a prominent figure in the podcast world, hosting "Sharp Tongue with Jessimae Peluso" and "Dying Laughing with Jessimae."
