Joseph Adam Jonas was born on August 15, 1989, in Casa Grande, Arizona, and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who first achieved global superstardom as the middle brother and lead vocalist of the pop-rock band The Jonas Brothers, alongside his siblings Kevin and Nick. The band's rise to prominence in the late 2000s was fueled by their affiliation with the Disney Channel, starring in the immensely popular Camp Rock TV movies (2008 and 2010) and their own series JONAS. Following the band's initial disbandment in 2013, Joe launched a solo R&B and electronic-influenced album, Fastlife, in 2011. He later found significant independent success as the lead singer of the dance-rock band DNCE in 2015, whose debut single, "Cake By The Ocean," became a worldwide smash hit, establishing his credibility outside of the boy band format.The Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, achieving a major comeback with the number one single "Sucker" and the Grammy-nominated album Happiness Begins, followed by extensive touring. Beyond music, Joe's acting credits include his early Disney roles, a voice role in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and a supporting turn in the critically acclaimed 2022 war film Devotion. He is also set to star in the 2025 movie A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. Joe married English actress Sophie Turner in 2019, and the couple welcomed two daughters before filing for divorce in 2023. He continues to actively tour and record with the Jonas Brothers and occasionally with DNCE.
