Joie Botkin
Joie Botkin is a seasoned American screenwriter and producer best known for her prolific work on feel-good Hallmark Channel movies. Of Moroccan, Spanish, Hispanic, Latina, and North African heritage, she has crafted more than 25 made-for-TV films since 2017—titles include Miss Christmas, A Brush with Love, Love in Store, Project Christmas Wish, Savoring Paris, and most recently My Argentine Heart (2025). Born with a strong creative drive, Botkin began her career in television production—working as an assistant at Fox and as a still photographer on Whale Wars—before transitioning to the writer’s room. Since joining Hallmark Media in 2016, she has been a key storyteller and occasional executive producer, shaping heartwarming narratives full of romance and holiday cheer.
