Jon Bardin
Jon Bardin is an Emmy-winning producer and a prominent figure in documentary filmmaking. He currently serves as the Head of Documentary and Nonfiction at Story Syndicate, a production company co-founded by Liz Garbus and Dan Cogan. In this role, he is responsible for developing and overseeing a diverse range of projects, including series, feature documentaries, podcasts, and scripted content.Prior to joining Story Syndicate, Bardin held positions such as Vice President of Documentaries and Specials at Discovery Channel, where he oversaw their documentary slate and managed projects from development to delivery. He also co-founded The Public Good Projects, a non-profit production company focused on creating media to explain complex health issues.Academically, Bardin holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Weill Cornell Medical College, where his research focused on recovery from severe brain injury and disorders of consciousness, and he has published in scientific journals. He earned his A.B. from Harvard College, concentrating in Visual and Environmental Studies. His credits as an executive producer and producer include numerous notable documentary films and series such as "ENIGMA," "POWER," "THE BARBER OF LITTLE ROCK," "TAKE CARE OF MAYA," "Tigerland," "Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman," and "Racing Extinction."
