David-Jones is also well known for his portrayal of Clayton Carter in the musical drama series Nashville and for starring as Jharrel Mateo in the 2021 reboot of the sci-fi series The 4400. Beyond television, he has appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including Kathryn Bigelow’s Detroit (2017) and the legal drama Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017) alongside Denzel Washington.
