William Joshua "Josh" Hopkins (born September 12, 1970) is an American actor known for his versatile performances across film and television. Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, Hopkins has built a substantial career playing a variety of roles, from dramatic leads to comedic characters.He first gained significant attention for his role as Raymond Millbury in the final season of the critically acclaimed legal drama Ally McBeal (2001-2002). However, he is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Grayson Ellis, the charming love interest to Courteney Cox's character, in the popular ABC (and later TBS) sitcom Cougar Town (2009-2015).Hopkins' film credits include supporting roles in major productions like G.I. Jane (1997), The Perfect Storm (2000), and Only the Brave (2017). He also played Paul Allen in the 1999 film Pirates of Silicon Valley. More recently, he is set to appear in the 2024 Western film Rust.On the television front, Hopkins has an extensive list of appearances.
