Josh Whitehouse
Josh Whitehouse (born February 27, 1990) is an English actor, musician, and artist from Chester, England. He began his career in the arts with a focus on music and visual art before unexpectedly transitioning into acting through a modeling job. His debut film role was the lead as Matt in the critically acclaimed British independent film Northern Soul (2014). Whitehouse is known for his work across film and television, including his main roles as Lieutenant Hugh Armitage in the BBC One series Poldark (2017–2018), Sir Cole in the Netflix Christmas film The Knight Before Christmas (2019), and Randy in the musical remake of Valley Girl (2020). Most recently, he starred as bassist Eddie Roundtree in the Amazon Prime Video music drama series Daisy Jones & the Six (2023), a role that allowed him to showcase his musical background. As a musician, he is a member of the indie-folk trio More Like Trees and has contributed original songs to some of his film projects.
