JuJu Chan Szeto, also known as JuJu Chan, is a Chinese-American actress renowned for her martial arts skills and action roles. Born in Hong Kong, she moved to the United States at a young age and settled in San Francisco. Her passion for martial arts began at the age of 10, starting with judo and expanding to include Shotokan karate, wushu, Hung Ga, Wing Chun, ITF Taekwondo (in which she represented Hong Kong and won international medals), nunchaku, and Muay Thai (where she also became a champion in Hong Kong). Due to her exceptional fighting abilities and mastery of the nunchaku, she has been dubbed the "Female Bruce Lee" by the Hong Kong media.Before focusing on acting, JuJu Chan excelled in beauty pageants and even released a music album in Hong Kong that garnered two music awards. However, she eventually returned to acting, where she could showcase her lifelong martial arts training. She gained wider recognition for her role as Silver Dart Shi in Netflix's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016) and as Zan in the Netflix series Wu Assassins. Her filmography includes action films like Jiu Jitsu (2020), Fistful of Vengeance (2022), Lights Out (2024), and the upcoming Fight or Flight (2025), where she plays Master Lian.
