Juliette van Ardenne
Juliette van Ardenne (born 10 October 1983 in The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch actress, writer, director, and casting professional whose career spans screen and stage. A graduate of the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts and trained in acting methods through workshops with Ivana Chubbuck, Mark Travis, and Marcus Azzini, she is fluent in Dutch, English, and German. She first drew attention playing Sira Schilt in the Zoop series and its feature films (Zoop in Afrika, India, and Zuid-Amerika) and has since appeared in a diverse range of productions, including Lover of Loser, Claustrofobia, New Kids Nitro, De Wederopstanding van een klootzak, Bro’s before Ho’s, and De Helleveeg. On television, she’s known for her roles in Dokter Tinus (as Kim Franken), Smeris (from season 4 onward as detective Lotte van Hees), Onderweg naar Morgen, GTST, and more than a dozen other Dutch series. Behind the camera, Juliette made her directorial debut with the short psychological thriller Stuwing (aka Gush, 2023), a poignant exploration of postpartum psychosis, which she also wrote and produced—earning recognition at the Nederlands Film Festival. In 2024, she appeared in the Netflix film Bad Boa’s, directed by Gonzalo Fernández Carmona.Her versatility and depth have made her a respected figure in Dutch performing arts, equally capable on camera and behind the scenes.
