Junichi Suwabe

Junichi Suwabe (諏訪部 順一, Suwabe Jun'ichi; born March 29, 1972) is a highly accomplished Japanese voice actor (seiyū) and singer from Tokyo, affiliated with Haikyō. Recognized for his distinctively deep, smooth, and commanding baritone voice, Suwabe is frequently cast in roles as handsome, charismatic, often flamboyant, and sometimes villainous characters, establishing him as one of the most prominent voices for the "cool male lead" archetype in the anime and gaming industries. His major breakthrough came with the role of the arrogant tennis prodigy Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis, which saw his character song reach the top 10 on the Oricon weekly CD chart—a historic achievement for a male character song at the time. His prolific career includes voicing the ruthless Hollow Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach, the stoic teacher Shota Aizawa (Eraser Head) in My Hero Academia, the cynical Counter Guardian Archer/Emiya in the Fate franchise, the flirtatious ice skater Victor Nikiforov in Yuri!!! on ICE, and the powerful antagonist Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen. He has received multiple accolades at the Seiyu Awards, including a Best Supporting Actor award, and is also an active singer, notably as part of the groups ST☆RISH and PHERO☆MEN.
