Jürg Plüss, born in 1972 in Untervaz, Switzerland, is a Swiss actor known for his diverse roles in film, television, and theater. Before pursuing acting, he initially trained as a railway operations dispatcher for the Rhaetian Railway and held various other jobs. He then enrolled in the European Film Actor School (EFAS) in Zurich, graduating in 2001.Plüss has built a solid career, appearing in numerous Swiss and German productions. His filmography includes films like "Der Baader Meinhof Komplex" (2008), "Mario" (2018), and the recent 2025 film "Late Shift" (Heldin) where he plays Herr Severin. He is also a familiar face on television, with roles in popular series such as "Tatort," "Der Bestatter," "SOKO Leipzig," and "Friesland." Beyond acting, Plüss is also a drummer for the band "Larry Bang Bang y los Güeros." He is a member of the Swiss Syndicate Film and Video (SSFV) professional association and currently divides his time living with his family in Zurich and Berlin.
