Justin Drew Tranter (born June 16, 1980, in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois) is a Grammy- and Golden Globe-nominated American songwriter, singer, and activist who has become one of the most in-demand creative forces in contemporary music. They initially rose to prominence as the lead singer of the glam-rock band Semi Precious Weapons from 2004 to 2014, a period during which the band toured with Lady Gaga on The Monster Ball Tour. Following the band's split in 2014, Tranter shifted focus to songwriting for other artists, quickly amassing a catalog of global hits with over 100 billion streams and dozens of honors, including multiple BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year titles.
