Kamilah Marshall is a highly accomplished American singer, actress, and performer, originally from Orange County, California. She possesses a diverse background spanning Broadway, film, and massive world tours. Her distinguished Broadway career includes roles in the original cast of Hairspray The Musical (where she played a "Dynamite" and reprised the role in Hairspray Live! on NBC), RENT, and Disney's The Lion King. A significant part of her touring career was spent as one of the renowned Staggering Harlettes, singing backup for Bette Midler on both The Kiss My Brass World Tour (2003-2005) and The Showgirl Must Go On residency in Las Vegas (2008-2010). Marshall is best known to a global audience as a longtime member of The Starlights, the name given to Taylor Swift's backup vocal group, which she joined in 2012 for The Red Tour. She has consistently toured with Swift on every major subsequent stadium tour, including The 1989 World Tour, The Reputation Stadium Tour, and the historic The Eras Tour (2023-2024), where her vocals and choreography are essential to the show. Her film credits include Sex and the City 2, Faster, and appearances in Swift's projects like All Too Well (The Short Film).
