Initially performing in baroque-burlesque operas with Company XIV, Cunning later joined Cirque du Soleil's Paramour and participated in New York's immersive theater production Sleep No More. Cunning's acting career includes notable roles such as Christina Fuego in HBO's The Deuce and Sabine in Netflix's Trinkets, where they also showcased their musical talents with original songs like "King of Shadow" and "Birds".
