Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992 in Trivandrum, Kerala) is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her work primarily in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema . Born to producer G. Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka, she began her career as a child artist in the early 2000s, featuring in films like Pilots (2000), Achaneyanenikkishtam (2001), and Kuberan (2002). After completing a fashion design degree from Pearl Academy, Chennai—interspersed with internships and a student exchange in London and Scotland—Keerthy made her lead debut in Geethaanjali (2013), earning the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut (Malayalam).She then transitioned seamlessly into Tamil (Idhu Enna Maayam, 2015) and Telugu (Nenu Sailaja, 2016) cinema, winning SIIMA Best Debut awards for both. Her career-defining performance as the legendary actress Savitri in Mahanati (2018) won her the National Film Award and Filmfare Award South for Best Actress . Since then, she has delivered a string of hits including Saani Kaayidham (2022), Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022), and Dasara (2023), the latter earning her another Filmfare Best Actress accolade . In 2024, she made her Bollywood foray with supporting roles in Maidaan and Baby John, and is now gearing up for her first Hindi lead opposite Rajkummar Rao.
