Kenneth Choi

Kenneth Choi (born October 20, 1971) is a highly respected American character actor known for his remarkable versatility across major film franchises and television dramas. Born in Chicago to Korean immigrants, Choi famously dropped out of Purdue University as an accounting major—against his family's wishes—to pursue acting, a journey that led him from a Blockbuster video store in Portland to becoming a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the MCU, he holds the rare distinction of playing two related characters: the 1940s soldier Jim Morita in Captain America: The First Avenger and his descendant, Principal Morita, in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Choi is equally celebrated for his television work, particularly his long-running role as Howard "Chimney" Han on the hit procedural 9-1-1 and his chilling portrayal of triad leader Henry Lin in Sons of Anarchy. His filmography also includes standout performances as Chester Ming in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street and Judge Lance Ito in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story. In the upcoming 2026 sci-fi thriller Mercy, Choi joins the ensemble cast in a supporting role alongside Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson.
