Kent Cheng Jak-Si (鄭則士), born on May 22, 1951, is a highly respected and veteran Hong Kong film and television actor, as well as a director, writer, and producer. Known for his distinctive physique and expressive acting, he has often portrayed "everyman" characters, though he is equally adept at more dramatic and villainous roles.Cheng began his career in the early 1970s and rose to prominence in the 1980s. He is a two-time recipient of the Best Actor award at the Hong Kong Film Awards, first for his performance as "Fat Cat" in the critically acclaimed film Why Me? (1985), which he also directed and wrote, and again in 1996 for The Log. His portrayal of the intellectually disabled "Fat Cat" character became iconic and led to several follow-up films and TV series.Throughout his extensive career, Kent Cheng has appeared in over 160 films and numerous television dramas.
