Khosi Ngema
Khosi Ngema (born Makhosazane Yolanda Ngema on November 2, 1999, in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a talented South African actress and singer-songwriter. Growing up in a creative environment as the daughter of actor Mangaliso Ngema and Busisiwe Ngema, she naturally gravitated towards the arts. Before making her professional acting debut, Ngema honed her skills by studying dramatic arts in high school and participating in short films. Her breakthrough came in 2020 when she landed a main role as Fikile Bhele in the popular Netflix drama series "Blood & Water." This role brought her significant recognition, including praise from renowned actress Gabrielle Union. Beyond "Blood & Water," Ngema has expanded her acting portfolio with roles in the South African film "Invasive" (2024) and its sequel "Invasive 2: Getaway" (2025), as well as the comedy "Killer Body Count" (2024) and the 2025 Netflix movie "Meet the Khumalos," where she plays Sphe Sithole. In April 2024, showcasing her musical talents, she released her debut single "Why?". While primarily known for her acting, Khosi Ngema is actively pursuing her music career and has expressed interest in using her platform to address social issues. In 2023, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the National Film & TV Awards South Africa for her work in "Blood & Water."
