Kiara Advani, born Alia Advani on July 31, 1991, is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi and Telugu films. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in India and has received numerous accolades, including an IIFA Award and two Zee Cine Awards. Born in Mumbai to Jagdeep Advani, a Sindhi businessman, and Genevieve Jaffrey, a teacher, she has a younger brother, Mishaal. Kiara changed her first name prior to her debut film on the advice of Salman Khan, as Alia Bhatt was already an established actress.She made her acting debut with the comedy film Fugly (2014), but her breakthrough came with the commercially successful sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016).
