Kiernan Shipka is an American actress, born on November 10, 1999, in Chicago, Illinois. She began her career as a child actress, starting with modeling and appearing in commercials and minor television roles. Her breakout role came in 2007 when she was cast as Sally Draper, the daughter of the main character, Don Draper, in the critically acclaimed AMC drama series Mad Men. Her performance on the show, which ran until 2015, earned her praise for her emotional range at a young age and led to two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.Following her success on Mad Men, Shipka took on the lead role of Sabrina Spellman in the Netflix fantasy series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020), a darker adaptation of the Sabrina the Teenage Witch comic books. She later reprised the role in an appearance on the CW series Riverdale.Shipka has also built a significant career in film, starring in the horror film The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015), the time-travel slasher comedy Totally Killer (2023), and the 2024 romantic comedy Sweethearts, where she played the lead character, Jamie. She has also appeared in other films in 2024, including the horror film Longlegs, the disaster film Twisters, and the comedy The Last Showgirl.
