Kim Chiu, born Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City, Philippines, is a Filipino-Chinese actress, singer, and television host. She rose to prominence after winning the first teen edition of Pinoy Big Brother in 2006, which launched her into a successful career in the entertainment industry . Throughout her career, Kim has showcased her versatility in various genres across film and television. She starred in the romantic comedy series What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, a Philippine adaptation of the popular Korean drama, which aired on Viu in 2024 . Her performance in the series earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the 2024 Asian Television Awards . In 2025, Kim starred alongside Paulo Avelino in the romantic comedy film My Love Will Make You Disappear. The film was released in the Philippines on March 26, 2025, and grossed ₱173 million worldwide by May 7, 2025 . Beyond her acting career, Kim is also an entrepreneur. In October 2022, she launched her own handbag brand, House of Little Bunny Philippines, and owns a commercial building in Cagayan de Oro .
