Kim Nam-gil is a highly acclaimed South Korean actor, producer, director, singer, and philanthropist. Born on March 13, 1980, he is celebrated for his versatility and ability to balance commercial projects with more artistic roles. His career began in 1999 with a minor role in the drama School 1, and he gained significant recognition after his breakthrough performance as Bidam in the hit period drama Queen Seondeok (2009). This role made him a household name and earned him several awards.He has since built a robust filmography with notable leading roles in both films and television. Some of his most well-known films include the adventure film The Pirates (2014), the disaster blockbuster Pandora (2016), and the crime thriller Memoir of a Murderer (2017). On television, he is renowned for his performances in dramas like Live Up to Your Name (2017) and the comedy crime series The Fiery Priest (2019), for which he won the Grand Prize (Daesang) at the SBS Drama Awards.
