Born on October 24, 1990, in The Woodlands, Texas, Kirby Bliss Blanton is an American actress and model who rose to prominence through her roles in high-profile comedy and horror films. The youngest of four children, she began her career as a child model and commercial actress in nearby Houston before moving to Los Angeles to pursue professional acting. Her early career was marked by guest appearances on popular Nickelodeon and Disney Channel series, including Unfabulous, Zoey 101, and Hannah Montana, as well as a brief stint on the HBO series Entourage. Her unique name—Kirby—was chosen by her parents because they were expecting a boy, while her middle name, Bliss, is her mother's maiden name. Blanton’s mainstream breakthrough came in 2012 when she starred as the character Kirby in the "found footage" party comedy Project X, which became a cult hit and established her as a rising talent in Hollywood. Shortly after, she shifted genres to join the ensemble cast of Eli Roth’s cannibal horror film The Green Inferno (2013), portraying Amy, a college activist who meets a particularly grim and tragic end. This role solidified her status among horror fans, leading to her being named one of the "Top 10 Houston Scream Queens" by the Houston Press in 2015. In the years following her major film debuts, Blanton has continued to work steadily across film and television. Her filmography includes the 2018 action-thriller Death Wish starring Bruce Willis, the indie drama Wish Man (2019), and lead roles in horror-thrillers like Tell Me How I Die and Recovery (both 2016). On television, she recently appeared in a multi-episode arc as Lindsay on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless (2020–2022).
