Koji Yusa

Kōji Yusa (遊佐 浩二, Yusa Kōji; born August 12, 1968) is a highly prolific freelance Japanese voice actor (seiyū) and narrator, originally from Kyoto, Japan. Known for his exceptionally wide vocal range and ability to portray a variety of characters—from calm, alluring anti-heroes to hyperactive villains and comedic figures—Yusa made his debut in the voice acting industry in 1993. His diverse portfolio spans decades in anime, video games, drama CDs, and tokusatsu (live-action special effects shows). He is most famously recognized for voicing the sharp-tongued and enigmatic captain Gin Ichimaru in the anime Bleach, the popular Imagin Urataros in the Kamen Rider Den-O franchise (for which he won the Synergy Award at the 2nd Seiyu Awards), and the brooding anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog in the Japanese version of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series and anime. Other prominent roles include Renzou Shima in Blue Exorcist, the cunning Lau in Black Butler, the menacing Akira Midousuji in Yowamushi Pedal, and most recently, the controversial antagonist Naoya Zen'in in Jujutsu Kaisen.
