Kwon Eun-seong

Kwon Eun-seong (born December 13, 2014) is a prominent South Korean child actor who has gained significant international recognition in 2025. Known for his natural acting and proficiency in swimming, he plays the pivotal role of Ja-in, the six-year-old son of an AI researcher (Kim Da-mi), in the Netflix sci-fi disaster film The Great Flood. His performance in the film, which involved intensive underwater sequences and diving, has been praised by his co-stars for its maturity and emotional depth. Beyond the disaster genre, 2025 has been a breakout year for him as he also starred as Lee Gil-yeong in the fantasy blockbuster Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, marking a high-profile reunion with director Kim Byung-woo. Prior to his major 2025 roles, Kwon built a steady filmography in both television and film. He appeared as Young Mozasu in the acclaimed Apple TV+ series Pachinko (2022) and played Gye Ha-jun in the drama Hi Bye, Mama! (2020). His film credits include supporting roles in notable projects such as Concrete Utopia (2023), where he played Ju-Mong, and Ransomed (2023), as well as an appearance in the series Alchemy of Souls (2022). Currently 11 years old, he is considered one of the most promising young talents in the Korean industry, particularly for his ability to handle physically demanding "water-based" roles and complex sci-fi narratives.
