Kylee Russell (born October 8, 1996, in Panorama City, Los Angeles) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and dancer who began performing in national commercials from the age of four and made her television debut on Eve in 2005. She gained wider recognition in the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! (2007), playing Karin Daniels, and later appeared in the socially poignant independent film Mississippi Damned (2009). Russell is best known for her portrayal of Eliza—the tech-savvy, strong-willed zombie and Zed’s best friend—in the Zombies franchise (Zombies, Zombies 2, Zombies 3, and Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires) as well as voicing Eliza in the animated Zombies: The Re‑Animated Series. Her character became a fan favorite for combining intelligence, compassion, and activism within the films’ themes of inclusion and unity. In preparation for the demanding physical roles in the Zombies musicals, Russell embraced singing, dancing, and complex choreography—her role in the third film was filmed remotely via green screen while pregnant, and she returned quickly after childbirth to lend her energy to the fourth installment.
