Lana Young
Lana Young is a Bermudian-American actress with a prolific career in television, film, and stage. Born in Bermuda to a Black Bermudian father and a Northern Irish mother, she initially pursued a career in finance while indulging in amateur theater. In 1998, she moved to the United States and, despite continuing in the corporate world, her passion for acting grew. In 2002, she landed her first on-camera role in the TV film "Killer Flood," which encouraged her to pursue acting professionally. She went on to earn an MA in Acting from Arts Educational School London, beginning her professional stage career in 2004 with "The Graduate." Young moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and later to New York City in 2014, with a five-year hiatus in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she even started an acting school.Throughout her career, Young has amassed over 30 guest-starring roles on television series, including "Zoey 101," "The Vampire Diaries," "Devious Maids," "Nashville," "Jessica Jones," "Kevin Can Wait," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "NCIS: New Orleans," "Dynasty," "WandaVision," "The Resident" (recurring role as Dr. Mary Osder), "Greenleaf," and "Ambitions." Her film credits include "Beginners" (2010), "Southpaw" (2015), "The Girl on the Train" (2016), "Monsters and Men" (2018), "Where'd You Go, Bernadette" (2019), "Like a Boss" (2020), and Tyler Perry's "A Jazzman's Blues" (2022), where she played a leading role. Most recently, she appeared in "Your Monster" (2024). Beyond acting, Lana Young has also ventured into producing and directing, and has been involved in international real estate.
