Larry Cedar is a prolific American actor, known for his extensive work in film, television, stage, and voice-over. Born on March 6, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, he began his professional acting career after graduating with an MFA in Theater from UCLA in 1978.He is perhaps most widely recognized for his role as Leon, the opium-addicted thief and faro dealer, in the critically acclaimed HBO series "Deadwood," a role he played for three seasons. Another significant television appearance was on the Children's Television Workshop mathematics show "Square One TV" on PBS, where he was one of the main players from 1987 to 1994. He also starred in 40 episodes of the Fox television series "A.J.'s Time Travelers." His diverse TV credits include guest roles on popular shows such as "Community," "House," "Mad Men," "Grey's Anatomy," "Law & Order: True Crime," "Marvel's Runaways," and numerous "Star Trek" iterations (Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise).In film, Cedar has appeared in a wide array of movies across different genres. Notable film roles include the Gremlin in the "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" segment of "Twilight Zone: The Movie" (1983), a car rental agent in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (1998), and a role in "Constantine" (2005).
