Laurence Mason is a first-generation American actor, born in the Bronx, New York City, to parents from Trinidad. He attended the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan, which launched his career in film and television. His early work includes a role in the 1993 film True Romance and later, prominent parts as Tin-Tin in The Crow (1994) and Lord Nikon in Hackers (1995), which are among his most well-known roles. Mason has had a prolific career with consistent work in television, often appearing in crime and action dramas. His television credits include recurring roles in series like The Shield, Prison Break (as Sammy Norino), and Breakout Kings, as well as guest appearances on shows such as Law & Order, NYPD Blue, JAG, and CSI: Miami. In film, he is also recognized for his role as the chauffeur, Earl Briggs, in The Lincoln Lawyer (2011), and as Luis Sarria in the 2001 film Ali.
