Lee Hee-jun (also spelled Lee Hee-joon) is a prominent South Korean actor known for his versatile roles across film, television, and theatre. Born on June 29, 1979, in Daegu, he initially pursued Chemical Engineering at Yeungnam University before following his passion for acting and graduating from the Korea National University of Arts (Theater department). His career began in the late 1990s in theater, and he slowly transitioned to screen acting, making a minor appearance in the 2007 film Secret Sunshine. He gained wider public recognition and mainstream success in 2012 with the hit television series My Husband Got a Family, which earned him the Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actor.Lee Hee-jun is highly regarded for his ability to portray diverse characters, ranging from charming and comedic to intensely villainous and gritty. His notable film roles include a reporter in the critically acclaimed historical drama 1987: When the Day Comes (2017), a chilling police detective in Miss Baek (2018), and the Presidential Security Service Director in The Man Standing Next (2020), for which he won the Best Supporting Actor at the Buil Film Awards. On the small screen, he has starred in major dramas such as The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), the intense crime thriller Mouse (2021), and the Netflix series A Killer Paradox (2024), where he drastically transformed for the role of the serial killer Song Chon. His recent works also include the films Badland Hunters (2024) and Handsome Guys (2024). He is married to model Lee Hye-jung.
