Lee Sung-min, born December 4, 1968, is an eminent South Korean actor known for his versatility and powerful performances across film and television. He began his acting career in theater in Daegu in 1987, spending over a decade on stage before making the transition to the screen in the early 2000s. He initially gained recognition for his compelling supporting roles, but his breakthrough came with the 2014 workplace drama Misaeng: Incomplete Life, where his portrayal of the gruff-but-caring manager Oh Sang-shik won him the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor in Television. Lee solidified his status as a leading talent in cinema with the 2018 espionage film The Spy Gone North, earning him multiple Best Actor awards, including another Baeksang, for his role as a North Korean official. His celebrated career reached new heights with the 2022 hit drama Reborn Rich, where his performance as the ruthless chaebol patriarch Jin Yang-chul garnered widespread critical acclaim and his third major Best Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
