Leenah Robinson is a talented First Nations actress from Canada, known for her impactful roles in both film and television. She is of Mohawk descent on her father's side, and Haisla and Heiltsuk Nation on her mother's side.Robinson's acting career began with her role in the film Monkey Beach (2020), an adaptation of her aunt Eden Robinson's book, where her mother, Carla Robinson, also worked as a producer. She gained significant recognition for her powerful performance as Baapuxti in the Paramount+ series 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone. In 1923, she portrayed a young Indigenous girl forcibly taken from her community and sent to a government-run boarding school, a role that shed light on the traumatic history of residential schools and garnered her widespread praise for her portrayal of the character's suffering and resilience.More recently, Leenah Robinson has taken on a prominent role as Raine in the 2025 post-apocalyptic thriller film 40 Acres.
