Li Jiuxiao

Li Jiuxiao (李九霄; born May 20, 1990, in Xichang, Sichuan province) is a Chinese actor of Yi ethnicity. A graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, he made his debut in the 2013 film Love Strives in Beijing and gained early recognition in youth and crime dramas like Micro Smile, Big City and Hot Pot Heroes . In 2020, Li earned praise for his fearless portrayal of “Dao Zi” in the war epic The Eight Hundred, where his sacrificial charge left a memorable impact . He continued with strong supporting roles in patriotic blockbusters such as The Sacrifice and Sacred Fire (aka Jingangchuan) . In 2025, Li joined the ensemble cast of Operation Hadal, playing commando Ding Sikai, nicknamed “Nail” for his tenacity. Though a smaller role, he stood out through his disciplined physicality—completing eight months of military-grade and deep-water training—and helped bring authenticity to the intense submarine combat scenes .
