Lilly Aspell
Lilly Aspell is a Scottish-born actress and accomplished equestrian, best known for portraying young Diana Prince in Wonder Woman (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). Born on October 23, 2007, in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland, she hails from a family deeply rooted in the equestrian world; her mother, Donna, and father, Paddy, are both former jockeys, and her uncle, Leighton Aspell, is a two-time Grand National-winning jockey . Aspell began show jumping at the age of four or five and has since achieved significant success in the sport. In 2017, she won the Talented Showjumping Competition at Countryside Live, and her team, Kildale Wonder Women, secured the Northern Show Cross Junior Team title. She also won the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds and participated in the 2022 Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). Her acting career began serendipitously when she was spotted by a talent agent while shopping in London at the age of eight. She made her film debut in Wonder Woman and reprised her role in Wonder Woman 1984, performing many of her own stunts, including horseback archery and high dives . Aspell has since appeared in films such as Extinction (2018) and Retribution (2023), starring Liam Neeson, and voiced young Diana in the animated series DC Super Hero Girls. Balancing her dual passions, Aspell has represented Great Britain in the FEI Nations Cup and worked at a professional show jumping stable in Florida. She continues to pursue both acting and equestrian competitions, with aspirations to represent Team GB in show jumping and to win both an Olympic gold medal and an Academy Award ..
