She began her professional journey as a model in France before transitioning to acting at the age of 15. Esco gained early television recognition in 2007 for her role as Katie Vega in the CBS drama Cane and made guest appearances on series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Drop Dead Diva. Her film career includes roles in the 2005 drama London, the 2010 indie film Kingshighway, and the 2012 comedy LOL alongside Miley Cyrus. Beyond her work in front of the camera, Esco is widely known as the founder of the Free the Nipple movement. In 2012, she wrote, directed, and starred in a film of the same name to challenge gender-based censorship and promote equality, a project that eventually sparked a global social media phenomenon supported by numerous high-profile celebrities.
