Lisa Stokke is a highly accomplished Norwegian singer, actress, and voice-over artist, born on March 25, 1975, in Tromsø, Norway. She gained international recognition early in her career after graduating from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), as she was cast in the original West End production of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! in 1999, where she originated the leading role of Sophie Sheridan. Following this success, Stokke has starred in several other West End productions, including Guys and Dolls, Chess, and Hard Times. On screen, she has appeared in UK television series such as Jonathan Creek and an episode of Doctor Who (2018), as well as Norwegian films like Long Flat Balls II. A significant part of her career is her extensive voice work, most notably providing the speaking and singing voice of Elsa in the Norwegian language versions of Disney's Frozen and Frozen II. In 2020, she performed the song "Into the Unknown" at the 92nd Academy Awards alongside other international voices of Elsa and Idina Menzel. She is also set to voice the main villain, Sibylla, the Countess of Grel, in the upcoming Norwegian animated feature Captain Sabertooth and the Countess of Grel (2025).
