Lotte Verbeek
Lotte Verbeek is a Dutch actress, dancer, and model known for her versatile performances in international film and television. Born on June 24, 1982, in Venlo, Netherlands, she trained extensively in both dance (graduating from the Amsterdam Academy of Jazz/Musical Theatre and Dance) and acting (graduating from the Theaterschool in Amsterdam). Her early career earned her critical acclaim, including the Leopard for Best Actress at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2009 for the Dutch film Nothing Personal, and the European Shooting Stars Award in 2010. Verbeek gained significant international recognition for her prominent television roles, including the historical figure Giulia Farnese in the Showtime series The Borgias (2011–2013) and the fan-favorite time traveler Geillis Duncan in the Starz historical fantasy series Outlander (2014–2017). Her credits also include the films The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and The Last Witch Hunter (2015), as well as recurring roles in the TV series Agent Carter (as Ana Jarvis) and The Blacklist (as Katarina Rostova). Most recently, she appears in the 2025 film Nuremberg as Emmy Göring, the wife of Hermann Göring.
