Louis Ashbourne Serkis, born on June 19, 2004, in London, England, is an English actor who comes from a prominent acting family. He is the son of celebrated actor and director Andy Serkis (known for his pioneering work in performance capture, including Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and Caesar in Planet of the Apes) and actress Lorraine Ashbourne. His older siblings, Ruby and Sonny Ashbourne Serkis, are also actors.Louis began his acting career at a young age, appearing in films such as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) as a young hobbit, and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) as a young Tarrant Hightopp. He gained significant recognition for his starring role as Alex in the 2019 fantasy adventure film The Kid Who Would Be King, where he played a modern-day boy who discovers King Arthur's sword Excalibur.
