Lucy Ansell
Lucy Ansell is an Australian actress and multidisciplinary artist of Afro-Caribbean/English descent, currently based on unceded Wurundjeri land in Melbourne. She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), where she received the Orloff Family Charitable Trust Scholarship for Excellence (2017) and the Patricia Kennedy Award for Excellence (2018). Ansell is best known for her recent roles in major Australian screen productions, including playing Bree in the mystery thriller film Force of Nature: The Dry 2 (2024) alongside Eric Bana, and Norma in the Binge Original comedy-drama series Strife (2023–2025). Her professional career also includes significant work in theatre, notably performing in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Escaped Alone/What If If Only with the Melbourne Theatre Company, and Hour of the Wolf at Malthouse Theatre.
