Luis Gerardo Méndez
Luis Gerardo Méndez (born March 12, 1982) is a highly influential Mexican actor, producer, and director who rose to international stardom as a pioneer of Spanish-language streaming content. He first gained massive fame in 2013 with his role as Javi Noble in The Noble Family (Nosotros los Nobles), which became one of the highest-grossing Mexican films of all time. This success led to him starring in and executive producing Club de Cuervos (2015–2019), Netflix's first-ever original production in Spanish. Méndez successfully transitioned into Hollywood with roles in high-profile projects such as Murder Mystery alongside Adam Sandler, the 2019 Charlie's Angels reboot, and the third season of Narcos: Mexico. In December 2025, he stars in the Netflix action-comedy A Time for Bravery (La hora de los valientes) as Mariano Silverstein, a tightly wound psychoanalyst forced into a dangerous criminal investigation. Known for his sharp comedic timing and versatility, Méndez also made his directorial debut in 2024 with the film Technoboys and serves as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
