Luke Ford is a Canadian-Australian actor known for his work in both Australian and international film and television. Born on March 26, 1981, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he was raised in Sydney, Australia, and is a graduate of The Actor's Pulse in Sydney. Ford began his professional career in Australian television in 2000, appearing in series such as Water Rats, Home and Away, and a recurring role as Craig Woodland in McLeod's Daughters. He achieved significant acclaim for his role as Charlie Mollison, a teenager with autism and ADD, in the 2008 Australian film The Black Balloon, which earned him the Australian Film Institute Award (now AACTA Award) for Best Supporting Actor. Following this success, he landed the lead international film role as Alex O'Connell in the major Hollywood blockbuster The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). His extensive filmography includes notable Australian films like Animal Kingdom (2010), Red Dog (2011), and Charlie's Country (2013), as well as television roles in Australian series like Underbelly: Squizzy and Cleverman. More recently, he has appeared in films such as Avarice (2022) and played Victor Dimov in the 2024 movie Life After Fighting.
