Lunetta Savino is a celebrated Italian actress, born on November 2, 1957, in Bari. With a career spanning theatre, cinema, and television, she has become one of Italy's most beloved and versatile performers. She gained immense popularity for her long-running role as Cettina Gargiulo in the television series "Un medico in famiglia" (A Doctor in the Family), which aired from 1998 to 2009. Beyond the success of the comedy-drama, she has taken on significant dramatic roles, notably in films directed by Ferzan Özpetek, such as "Saturn in Opposition" (Saturno contro, 2007) and "Loose Cannons" (Mine vaganti, 2010), for which she won a Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actress.More recently, she has been a prominent face in Italian television, playing the mother of the protagonist in "Le indagini di Lolita Lobosco" (The Investigations of Lolita Lobosco) and starring as the lawyer Marina Di Marco in "Studio Battaglia".
