Lynne Griffin is a Canadian actress with a versatile career spanning stage, film, and television, both in Canada and the United States. Born on September 17, 1952, in Toronto, Ontario, she began her acting journey in the early 1970s. Her mother, Kay Griffin, was also an actress, which likely influenced Lynne's path.Griffin is particularly recognized for her work in the horror genre, notably in the cult classic slasher film Black Christmas (1974), where she played Clare Harrison, the first victim. She also appeared in the equally revered slasher Curtains (1983) and the beloved comedy Strange Brew (1983), which featured the popular Canadian characters Bob and Doug McKenzie. Her extensive television credits include a recurring role as Callie Cramp in the CBC series Wind at My Back (1996-2001), as well as appearances in shows like Murdoch Mysteries, Picket Fences, NYPD Blue, and more recently, Ginny & Georgia and The Umbrella Academy.
