Macon Blair, born in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1974, is an American actor, screenwriter, and director. His career is marked by frequent collaborations with his friend, director Jeremy Saulnier. Blair's notable acting roles include the lead in the thriller Blue Ruin (2013) and a supporting role in Green Room (2015). In 2017, he made his directorial and screenwriting debut with I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. He also wrote and directed the 2023 reboot of The Toxic Avenger.Blair is also a comic book writer, having created stories for Marvel, Dark Horse, and Image Comics. He co-authored the graphic novel Long Road to Liquor City with Joe Flood. He is married to actress Lee Eddy, and they have two sons, Buck and Sonny.
