Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee (Chinese: 張可頤; born March 20, 1969) is a prominent Hong Kong actress, best known for her television work with TVB. Her career began after she competed in the 1994 Miss Hong Kong beauty pageant, where she was signed by the station after winning the special award for best "potential artist." After initially taking on supporting roles, she rose to mainstream popularity with the 1997 series Old Time Buddy, where her portrayal of a character based on 1960s teen idol Connie Chan was highly praised. A celebrated performer, she won the coveted TVB Anniversary Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in The King of Yesterday & Tomorrow, and is also recognized for leading roles in critically acclaimed dramas such as The Awakening Story (2001), War and Beauty (2004), and Forensic Heroes III (2011). Though primarily a television star, she has also appeared in films like A Better Tomorrow III (1989) and, more recently, Rob N Roll (2024).
